Hello! Thanks for stopping by. We’re Kari and Ronit: writers, actors, and creators who write female-driven buddy comedies with Asian and Jewish leads… like us! With 15 years of writing experience, and seven years together, we specialize in strong characters, punchy dialogue, and clear storytelling. Our scripts pass the Bechdel Test with flying colors so much so that we once received the note, “there’s no male characters in your script…” Yes, and…?

Speaking of yes and, we met at the Upright Citizens Brigade, where we studied advanced improv and sketch, and decided to write together after watching each other perform original pieces and realizing that we write in the same voice. Kari studied at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy and received her BFA from The New School. Ronit is a graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.

Unable to concentrate on pages when a toddler picks their nose and fucking eats it, we own our writing success to our kids’ preschools. We owe our writing success to the true heros, our kids’ preschool teachers.
